Album Cover Selection, Humble Beginnings, retro Mark Brown

A plein air (in the open air) artist, Hawaii-born and self-taught Mark Brown came across and painted these unknown young men who depict what we love so dearly about Hawai`i. Mark's piece, Humble Beginnings, was selected from 100 entries in 1997 to be the front album and cassette cover for Homegrown, a Ron Jacob's produced music collection of 20 artist songs. Ron “Whodaguy” Jacobs, a famous Hawaii-born broadcaster helped bring rock and roll music to the islands. 48 x 60.
